2015 In Review

2015 has been an incredible year. From starting off with covering a big radio show on my universities radio station to interviewing the likes of Peace, Don Broco, Pvris, Example, Of Monsters and Men to name a few.

Not only that but also getting to go to Disney world in Florida. Admittedly I was in Florida for 10 days and Disney only took up 2 of those days, but i got to meet Winnie The Pooh so I was a very happy Abbey! Also getting to go to Universal Studios and seeing Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley was brilliant because I am a huge Harry Potter fan. And obviously I had to buy some pink sparkly Minnie Mouse ears when I visited Hollywood Studios which was the first place I visited in Disney, straight after I had cried at the Frozen parade.

Celebrating my two year anniversary with my boyfriend Matthew and spending it tucked up in a cosy cottage in the middle of the Scottish highlands. Experiencing the 'joy' that is coasteering when I was on holiday with my Dad in Pembroke. Which for those of you who don't know (which I'm gonna guess is pretty much all of you) is when you cling to the side of a cliff for dear life (about 10 ft above the water) and jump in and out of the sea. I almost drowned because a big swell of water came as i jumped in. apparently the instructor thought it was hilarious. Safe to say I did not. However, despite my almost drowning, I did find it a lot of fun and I had a lot of cuts and bruises to show for it! Also going on my first holiday with my friends in sunny Majorca, which despite the 4 hour flight delay which meant 6 hours of being sat in Newcastle airport was a lovely holiday. Getting my first ever part time job. Which is not a very glamorous job, but it is a job none the less. Getting nominated as best female for a Student Radio Association award. Like what?! Even though i did not win I still had an amazing time and just form being nominated was incredible. I learnt something that day which is when I get overwhelmed I cry.

After a brilliant 2015, let hope 2016 is even better, with me hopefully graduating university, getting a job and getting a flat somewhere.  Onwards and upwards!

New Beginnings

Hello.... It's been nearly three years since I actually wrote anything on here. So Hi. Let me reintroduce myself my names Abbey, I'm 22 and I live in Leeds now. This is the first place I have ever lived outside the north east. I grew up there and ended up going to university there as well. I love Leeds, being from a small north eastern town with nothing ever happening it is quite the welcome change I didn't know I needed. I live with my boyfriend of 4 years, who I am still surprised has actually put up with my complaining and hunger for that long. I am always hungry. Me and Matthew at a wedding in summer - this is my current favourite picture of us I don't know if anyone else struggles to get pics of you and your bae that both of you actually look nice in. I love decorating our house, we still have a few rooms that need painting, we need to find a living room carpet. Theres a list as long as my arm of jobs and tasks that need doing to the house that only...

Umberto Giannini - Silky Curls Intensive Mask Review

A couple of months ago I was looking to buy a deep conditioning treatment for my hair that tackled frizziness. When I walked to the hair products part of boots I was met with many different brands with varying prices. I almost bought a Charles Worthington one for much more money. I paid £5 for this deep conditioner. What drew me to it, at first, was its packaging. It is in a bright pink container so you can't miss it! I personally think that the smell of this product does have a medical scent to it. It reminds me of a doctors surgery. However that is the only thing that I can fault this product on. I am quite sceptical on anti-frizz products because 9 times out of 10 they do not work. They just leave your hair weighed down and are a waste of money. However I will be repurchasing this product when it runs out. I try and use this on my hair once a week, however I quite often forget so I probably use this on my hair once every 2-3 weeks or if I have a special occasion. You was...

The (not so) Secret River

The past couple of weeks I have been on holiday in the South of France with my boyfriend and my boyfriends brother. We have been staying with some of his distant family. We would all go and stay in a strangers house for two weeks if it was in the south of France... Right? We were cat sitting for them. Even though the cat hated us and it was only on the final night that he actually let us stroke him. It was also the first time he had seen him eat since we had got there as well. Which was rather worrying. However he seemed to be okay, which was good. If theres anything worse then staying in a distant relatives house, it would defiantly be accidentally killing their cat. One day Matthew (my boyfriend) and I went about a quarter of a mile away from the village that we were staying in and tried to find a river. We had been told that there was a river down there, but at first it just looked like a dried up river bed. But upon further inspection we found...
