New Beginnings

Hello....

It's been nearly three years since I actually wrote anything on here. So Hi. Let me reintroduce myself my names Abbey, I'm 22 and I live in Leeds now. This is the first place I have ever lived outside the north east. I grew up there and ended up going to university there as well. I love Leeds, being from a small north eastern town with nothing ever happening it is quite the welcome change I didn't know I needed. I live with my boyfriend of 4 years, who I am still surprised has actually put up with my complaining and hunger for that long. I am always hungry.

Me and Matthew at a wedding in summer - this is my current favourite picture of us
I don't know if anyone else struggles to get pics of you and your bae that both of
you actually look nice in.

I love decorating our house, we still have a few rooms that need painting, we need to find a living room carpet. Theres a list as long as my arm of jobs and tasks that need doing to the house that only ever feels like its getting longer but we are getting there, slowly. Finding new furniture and nick nacks to fill it with to make it home is the best. I love homesence, Next home and M&S home they have the best selection of what we've called homey things. We moved in last year in February so its almost been an entire year since we moved in, which I totally cannot believe time is going so fast at the moment. I also love cleaning my house, I know I'm 22 I need to slow down. I don't care if that sounds totally sad but I feel so happy when the house is clean. Admittedly if anyone was to randomly turn up on a midweek night after we've got back from work you might not actually believe that, I'm trying okay. I love watching speed cleaning videos on YouTube. I've recently found an entire new side of Instagram which is filled with interior designers and people who post stuff about cleaning. I literally loose hours of my life looking at it.

We have our 1 year old rabbit who's birthday we celebrated on Sunday - yes I am that person who bought her a birthday present. She is called Rocky and she is a lionhead rabbit, which means she's super fluffy and has a cool lion like mane. The reason she is called Rocky is because when we bought her everyone thought she was in fact a he. A quick trip to the vets a couple of weeks later we had it confirmed that she was not a he, she was in fact a she. Which we thought was hilarious because it didn't really matter to us at all but we thought we had better keep her name so she's not confused.

Rocky lounging on our new Sofas! She loves to reorganise our cushions, much to my annoyance.

So that's me. I really like reading peoples blogs so I thought I would reactivate this one.

Umberto Giannini - Silky Curls Intensive Mask Review

A couple of months ago I was looking to buy a deep conditioning treatment for my hair that tackled frizziness. When I walked to the hair products part of boots I was met with many different brands with varying prices. I almost bought a Charles Worthington one for much more money. I paid £5 for this deep conditioner. What drew me to it, at first, was its packaging. It is in a bright pink container so you can't miss it! I personally think that the smell of this product does have a medical scent to it. It reminds me of a doctors surgery. However that is the only thing that I can fault this product on. I am quite sceptical on anti-frizz products because 9 times out of 10 they do not work. They just leave your hair weighed down and are a waste of money. However I will be repurchasing this product when it runs out. I try and use this on my hair once a week, however I quite often forget so I probably use this on my hair once every 2-3 weeks or if I have a special occasion. You was...

The (not so) Secret River

The past couple of weeks I have been on holiday in the South of France with my boyfriend and my boyfriends brother. We have been staying with some of his distant family. We would all go and stay in a strangers house for two weeks if it was in the south of France... Right? We were cat sitting for them. Even though the cat hated us and it was only on the final night that he actually let us stroke him. It was also the first time he had seen him eat since we had got there as well. Which was rather worrying. However he seemed to be okay, which was good. If theres anything worse then staying in a distant relatives house, it would defiantly be accidentally killing their cat. One day Matthew (my boyfriend) and I went about a quarter of a mile away from the village that we were staying in and tried to find a river. We had been told that there was a river down there, but at first it just looked like a dried up river bed. But upon further inspection we found...
